Mesembry is earliest to bloom in spring. It has a very short season unless deadheaded daily. It is very difficult to deadhead individual flowers, for the reason they are small plants and flower profusely. Dead head at around 4pm when flowers are still open. This will distinguish faded flowers from new buds as both have a slight difference. Flower life is max 2 days...

They are drought tolerant as well as tolerate water logging.
They make a mounding shape. They should be spaced at a distance of around 6 inches. However they will accept closer planting as well.

Flowers will remain close on Cloudy Days.
Flower open at around 11 am and close at 4-5 Pm.
