Other Details Datura meteloides or Datura evening fragrance is a hardy shrub which spreads more horizontally than vertically, when established will bloom from late spring to fall. It has very large 5 inches across fragrant showy flowers that open at dawn and wither in the morning sun. The flowers are visited by nocturnal insects like moths which helps in pollinating the flowers. Should be planted near windows where its heady fragrance can be enjoyed. All parts of the plants are poisonous so special care should be taken where there are children and pets in home.
