Pakistan Gardening Forum

This is KBW from Okara. It's great to see a gardening forum with loads of useful information on it. I have been deeply interested in gardening since I was a child (and that was more than 40 years back) but since the last 5 to 6 years, haven't been too much into gardening. The craze has revived recently and while looking for some plants, came across this forum. I have special interest in ferns, bulbs and flowering bushes / trees. Like to study plants in their natural habitat and since I have interest in photography as well, have many pics of some of the popular plants in their natural habitats. Would like to search out the pics and post a few for the information of other members. Other than gardening, I am very interested in travelling, photography, hunting, fishing and pistol / rifle shooting. More than a decade back, I also used to be a professional philatelist (stamp collector).

It's good to be around and I think it will take me quite some time to go through the posts. I can already see a lot of very informative threads.

It would be a lovely idea if you post your pictures of plants that you have captured in their natural Habitat, for other members. In this way we can learn how plant behave and survive in natural environment. It will also serve as a reference.

This forum has really awakened the sleeping gardener inside me. I will definitely look for the pics of various plants in their natural habitat and try to post as many as I can. These pics are from various alpine / coniferous forests in AJ&K, KPK, Balochistan and Northern areas plus a large collection from rainforests in various Indonesian islands, Malaysia, Singapore, Thiland, China, Vietnam and few other countries. All pics have been taken by me. A good collection of orchids and ferns in their habitats, ie, hanging with rainforest trees is also there. Let me look into my old CDs and I will get back.
