Very Pleased
Hello everyone,
I am so pleased to have found this forum. It is always wonderful to share gardening thoughts and ideas with others. I started to garden 5 years ago when I moved to Karachi and it has been very rewarding.
I noticed that almost everyone in this forum is planting flowers, anyone planting veggies?
Attached are a few photos what has been growing in my garden.
Cheers

Thank you. Will try and post photos via picasa, noticed that one of your members does that. I am new to all of this so patience is required
.Have a copy in PDF format of a book published in 1967 entitled "A ready reference for gardening in Karachi". Would be happy to share it with whomever maybe interested. Can't post it on the forum since it's 18.3 MB.

Welcome aboard!
I am not vegetarian so I dnt grow much of those either
I am growing lots of adeniums which are too bitter to eat but i do grow a number of daylilies which are edible.Tested them a couple of times and they were good.Never tasted buds though.
Other plants i am growing include kiwi fruit vines, mucuna sempervirens, vigna caracalla, gerbera, feraria crispa, chocolate vine etc.

Re: Very Pleased
Welcome to the forum, I am growing Okras, Armenian Cucumbers, Green Cucumbers, White Cucumbers, Runner beans "Pickwick", Naga Jolokia peppers, Bottle gourds, Green beans, Purple beans... share your experiences and techniques to have a better yield. I am planning for some "Beef master" tomatoes for the winter season to come...
Re: Very Pleased
Thank you Izhar. Will be posting photos of some of things I have grown. Have not had much luck with green beans or cucumbers but my tomatoes, rocket, lettuces, parsley and even Sage have fared well. Tried growing a second crop of tomatoes a few months ago in hopes of having some during the summer but that failed. So will wait till after the monsoon and start again.

Izhar
Thought I would share photos of my failed cucumbers. Had lots of flowers and about 6 tasty cucumbers then the plant just withered and died.

Re: Very Pleased
Let me know if you want to grow White Cucumbers, I have some seeds. My cukes are coming back as the temperatures are getting milder.. but the winners are Armenian cucumbers, they just X, X and X...
(let the "X" be "produce")
