my main interest is kitchen garden .beginner in gardening actually.have front garden and a large rooftop planning to make it roof top garden.slugs&grubs r my main enemies.destroyed my whole spinach.by the way i m successful as yet in having good crop of chillies n capsicum.last year started with spinach it was good n provoked me to do more then tomatoes a disaster for me each n every fruit smaller in size n had few worms inside .had 26 tomatoes plant n finally took out all.also sew corn dont know y the plants died themselves.loki tori meeta ghiya all flowering without an fruit totally disappointed with them same goes with hara dhaniya never germinate.now planning to have tomatoes ,gajar ,moli,lehsan,red n yallow bell pepper (unable to find its seeds yet) lettuce,chives ,chuqandar n shaljam.
P.S .every excited now as my eggplant has a blossom masshallah.

Well come to the forum.for Karachi Mir sb & Izhar sb can guide u well.here in Mardan it will be cool season crop sowing season from 10th Sep.i also like kitchan gardening.

Welcome to the forum Inam. A friend of mine grows most of her veg in pots on her roof and has had lots of success. Do not get discouraged. When growing tomatoes I would suggest a large container, the smaller your container the smaller the tomatoes, from my expreience and I may be very wrong as I too am a novice at gardening. What type of soil do you use for planting? You should not have so many problems with pests. y friend uses KDA manure mixed with Norriabad soil. Hope this is helpful.
