Newbie in Gardening From Karachi

Hello Everyone,
This is hackersid and I have recently grown very attached to gardening. In my childhood, I love gardening and did plant some vegetables, fruit and flowers in my grand-father's lawn (tomatoes, coriander, lemons, roses, raat ki rani etc) but then I moved to Karachi (in an apartment) and now it has been years since I planted anything.
Now I am looking to get back to gardening scene. Although I am still living in an apartment but I do have a small balcony that gets 3-5 hours of sunlight and am looking forward to growing something there.
Anyways I will be asking a lot of newbie (i.e. idiotic) questions regarding gardening on this forum so please bear with me as I light my gardening passion once again.
