I assume the "phali" you are looking for is drumsticks of the Moringa tree. It is a huge tree with a very weak trunk. You can very easily start your kitchen garden right from the seeds sitting in the kitchen cabinets for the sake of starting e.g. podina (mint) from the discarded stems, coriander seeds, seeds from red chillies, onions etc, depending on the space and sunlight availability.

Welcome to the forum, if you have limited space you can start with leafy vegetables and herbs.. for leafy vegetables you can go for:
Spinach, Salad leaves, Sarso (mustard), Methi (fenugreek), Cholai (Amaranthus) etc etc
for herbs you can grow:
Mint, Coriander, Basils, Chives etc etc
