I used a very small dia (transparent) pipe for my drip irrigation system (used usually by masons for leveling purpose), fixed it on a tap, inserted syringes one for each pot, tap is opened as per the desired quantity of water to come through syringes. I admit it is a crude (jatka) method as water distribution is not as balanced as may be by other mechanised methods but it served the purpose to a some extent when i was away from garden during Ramazan month. All my pots are on ground floor.

Few plants match the splendour of this plant in bloom. It's called 'rindonetia' locally however I m not sure if that the proper name? (Help appreciated). This is planted in a 20" pot. Grows very slowly. Blooms profusely. Very drought tolerant. Blooms resemble those of laltana...

Very interesting topic, innovative and one time effort(although one time effort is way laborous).
While going through photos shared each container has been allocated its sprinkler, size of each container is differen. I was wondering how will it be providing enough water according to each container's need depemding on the size!
The way you have shared along with detailed elaborations is so kool.

Each dripper has its own flow. They are all color coded (each brand its own set of colors): they come in 2 litres per hour, 4 litres per hour(LPH), 8 LPH, 16 LPH, 20 LPH. I mostly used 8 LPH with 4 LPH for smaller pots. Recently got the 2 LPH ones
4 LPH = 1 gallon per hour (GPH)

When did you start the project? Your first post is dated 2nd June 2015.
Please give the detail of your experience so far.
What were your teething problems?
How convenient it is compared to normal gardening?
Does it require opening and closing of taps? or you can leave it unattended for weeks.
During these five months how many plants have you lost and why?
How about shifting of pots for changing looks?
Any other point that you would like to high light.
