I am looking to buy a couple of persimmon trees, as well as any other interesting, different fruit trees. Have a couple of acres in gharo .......would also like to buy around 20 coconut trees, if not hugely expensive.
Thanks.
Shaheen

I guess you are looking for unconventional/ uncommon fruits -If I understand correctly? There are number of tropical fruits which have done well and would be nice addition. Google their images if interested.
1) Star fruit (called Kam-rakh in Urdu)
2) Amla- it does really well in Karachi. The fruit is edible and can be used for making "murabbay" i.e. sweet fruit syrups.
3) Jack fruit called Kathal in Urdu. It was available from Shalimar nursery. It bears a huge fruit and tastes like custard.
4) Moringa or drumstick tree (Sojnay ki phali a very useful tree)
5) Lime
6) Badaam tree (bears red coloured fruits and tasty when ripe)
All of them should be available from Shalimar but I don't recall seeing persimmon trees.
