I have recently got Wisteria Plant from One of the nursaries at Peshawar Mor.. My questions are:-

1. I hope its Wisteria Plant... ?
2. Does it look like being planted from cutting?, which is necessary for flowering..
3. What's the sun requirements both in Summers and in Winters?
4. Whats the soil and fertilizer requirement?
5. Till how long I can keep it in pot before transplanting it in ground?

Please help, I really want it to flower ASAP...

Please note that stick in front is for support .. the stem of the plant is behind this stick.

It is Wisteria, it is a small plant and will take at least three years of good care before it starts flowering. Plant it in full sun during rains, will require some protection in swear winter and from sun in May/June, regular watering/feeding.

Sir, Thank you very much. One more question, presently this plant is in big pot, about 3.5 ft; I kept it in pot to protect it from scorching heat (today Pindi is like 45-48 deg Celsius). For how long I can keep it in pot before I need to transplant it in ground?

AS long as you like, but if it has to go in the ground then do it on 20th of September.

My Guess for 20th September............

It is the start when day length start to decrease.......Sun will be easy on your plant.

Jd, from where & for how much did you get the 3.5 ft (height or width ?) pot ?
I think you can keep the plant permanently in such a large pot.

Today I measured it and found it as 3 ft not 3.5 ft, sorry abt that, but you should be able to get pot upto 3.5 ft height or may be more from gawal mandi, Rwp. They are much cheaper as compared to Peshawar Mor or for that matter any other nursary in Isd/Rwp region, I have checked almost on every nursary, Gawalmandi is the cheapest..
Abt Wisteria, yes I want to keep it in pot, I may shift it in bigger pot after an year or so..

Don't think a vigorous vine like wisteria will flower well if not in the ground.not because of feeding but restricted root space. Brig Arif can better advise.
