MY LIME TREE IS NOT DOING WELL
I had bought a lime tree 2 years ago.it does not develop considerable amount of fruit but has good vegetative growth, but last year it lost most of its leaves.I was worried about the plant but it suddenly start a new growth with lots of flower, then flowers and leaves start burning and no fruit was developed and plant was left with few leaves as it was before the new growth started.

You can post pictures for better diagnosis by the fellow members.
In one of the previous threads we had discussed that age counts in the citrus family. Younger plants shed about 90% of the flowers. Very few fruits develop in the begining. Healh of your tree seems to be good because it does robust vegetative growth.
However leaf burn is not a good symptom... Still a picture would be worthwhile.

Leaf dop is normal and you can see that it grew new leaves. If it were a disease you will not see good re-growth. There seem to be a number of "inflictions" on your lime :-(Usama Adam wrote:then suddenly blosoms and small leaves start withering.the color of buds change to brown and now half the branches are brown with no leaves.
1. It is under shade
2. It is in a pot.
Citrus trees need full bright sun for a healthy growth. The yellowing is typically caused by nitrogen and iron deficiency. Fertilize it well with well decayed cow's manure ideally after plant in ground. Later you can try small amounts of chemical fertilizers once it starts to show a healthy growth.
