Assalam-o-alikum,
Today I bought a beautiful climbing roses plant. Please advice me how to care and train it. Please see the attached images should I replace its pot? Can I use steel wire to climb it?
Also tell me about its watering need and any NPK Fertilizer need?
What is its actual name?
Regards, Waqas

Re: Climbing Roses
1) Change the pot now, take the biggest pot you can manage
2) Keep the pot beside any pillar, trellis... i.e very strong support
3) Climbers need to tie-up as they dont twine themselves
4) Potting mix should be 50:50 manure:soil (soil must be fresh)
5) Spray Imidacloprid every 15 days, whether you see pests or not
6) NPK 20:20:20 1 teaspoon in 4 litre water on weekly basis, i.e. 1 litre of this solution alternate day

Thanks a lot and Jazak Allah khair.
If I only use tap water and cow dung and shift this plant to larger pot will it impact on its growth?

Yes.. remember to press soil firmly around roots to remove space for air...

Re: Climbing Roses
Thanks a lot and Jazak Allah for prompt response.
Can I use 16 inch pot or I go for bigger one?
Is it ok to use 50 percent cow dung and 50 percent soil for the climbing rose?
I have to put 1 liter of NPK water on alternate day (For how long?)
What If I just repot it and use the tap water instead of giving it NPK and pesticide?
Also I bought it in Rs 250 (Is it ok in this price?)
Thanks in advance bro.

1) Select the biggest pot you can manage.
2) Yes it is good to use the 50:50 mix
3) You have to use NPK during growth phase i.e. till May then resume by November
4) The new mix will provide nutrients for 2-3 months only and pesticide is MUST, roses are very susceptable to pests
5) Yes thats good price
