What is kamquart Plant/Fruit and its uses

I have come to Know a new Citrus Plant Named Kamquart
i want to Know about this plant and its uses and its Urdu/local name.

That is a relatively common fruit in China-my chinese colleague says. It is kamquat rather than kamquart. I am afraid that fruit does not grow naturally in Pk, thus Urdu name may not exist. May some big nurseries may have them- ideally a picture will help them identify if they have such a plant.

Farooq sb its easily available here in Mardan from fruit nurseries.i think there three varieties available here.it is used in green tea(qhewa).If you want a photo of Kumquat i,l post one for you.actually its not available in the ornamental plant nurseries.

Farooq sb its also easily available in Lahore too with name kumquat. have small oval shape fruit like lemons. you can eat its fruits .

Thanks Umar & Rafiq sahab for correction. I had seen very small oranges in one house Karachi as well - their tree was loaded with small oranges of the size of lemons. Oranges don't do well in Karachi. Someone said that true kumquat is the size of olives which are much smaller than lemons. Is it so?

Umar sb its right that kamquat size and shape it similar to olive. i have a small plant with few fruits will try to upload images.

I too have a Kamquat plant in a large Gamla. I agree with Rafique; its fruit size & shape is like olive's. It is eaten in one bite, of course without peeling.While mine in Rawalpindi has not even put on flower buds,two plants in ground at a friend's place in Lahore I saw yesterday,was laden with ripe fruit. Is'nt it surprising?

Rafique sb your plant is very weak.is it freshly planted or is it really weak.Kamquarts are very beautiful citrus.

I planted kamquat last year and it is weak you are really true to observe. Secondly i just pruned it few days back and have not any experience of citrus fertilization cycle.
waiting that weather will brink some positive change after few days as i gave some granular npk last week to it.?
