marigold problem

my marigold are under attack of slugs ,i have manually removed few of them but plants are loosing their healthy green foliage and leaves are turning black as ash
any suggestions to deal with them???

Thanks God these are not slugs which are very diff to control due to their protective shell.Saqib these are caterpilers,east to control.use Bayer,s Belet or FMC ememax as soon as possible.because marigold will soon be in flowering so use these peticides as soon as posible.the chemical treatment actualy harms the floral display.if these are the first crop they may be in flower buds.the caters also damages the flower buds.

Just to add a comment for the sake scientific correctness: Slugs don't have any protective shell by definition and have no legs. Snails do. If the lawn is infested with slugs and snails, someone had suggested in DAWN newspaper that keeping sugar solutions (with a small amount of yeast) at different spots will attract the slugs and then they will die by drowning in the solution.

Umar sahab is right that pesticides should applied to get rid of these creepy caterpillars.

Thanks for correction Farooq sb i actually meant the snails.snails are very difficult case.thanks alot

Sara butterflies are beautiful but not on the expense of our beautiful plants.so what to do with the brighter side of caterpilers

im sure we can spare FOOD for the caterpillars :)
