An interesting Myth !

Post by Syed Adnan »

Somedays back I heard the myth ....

" Reading newspaper to your indoors plants will result in the improvement of the plant health" :o

initially i thought it is a joke .......

but I am surprized to found out that it really helps and there is common sense behind the myth.....

can you guess ???? :P

You provide more light in the room while reading newspapers? :-)

What do you think scientifically, can sound affect plants? Some people believe it is true.

Singing or talking to flowers helps them to grow better. The scientific reasoning behind this is that as we talk or sing to our plants we release carbon dioxide with our breath. This encourages the plant to convert it to oxygen, which in turn produces more growth.

I cannot agree more that it is all about attention and neglect rather than really minute amounts of CO2 exhaled by us.

Though it is late to comment, I have seen videos of gardeners in Japan especially chrysanthemum growers who regularly sing songs for their better yield.... Myth ...may be...may be not :P
