How can I grow ginger in Lahore ? And is it possible to grow and in large base pots ?

Yes ginger can be grown in lahore. They grow best in ground but large pot will also do.

hi, i've tried planting it but it never seems to grow in lahore, is there a specific way of planting ginger ??

i have done it successfully on a few occasions in a container..

best thing to do is insert your ginger in a small plastic bag and spray some water inside and leave the bag on a windowsill for a week and then you will see a small short green shoot poking out, when you see that its time to pot it on with the shoot sticking out of the soil . probably take two seasons before you can harvest, The cool thing is after 2 seasons you can just dig out the ginger and snap a small amount too use and bury the rest back in the pot and it will resume growing again.

You are referring to Ginger lily, hedychium species? or edible ginger Zingiber ?

I was taking about the edible ginger.
