Hi,
Sometime back there was a debate on how to keep birds from feasting over your seedlings. An old gardne'rs advice that worked for me is to tie a few rounds of black string around your pots.Birds can't see the black string and they get frightened when their wings collide wid them. They simply won't come back again.
Happy Gardening!

We use to plant coriander (دھنیا)and tried many things to get rid of the sparrows and the only thing worked was a bush of kekre (کیکری) tree, we placed the dry bush on it and sparrows were afraid to enter under it maybe because of its thorns
Yours trick is very simple and if it do works it is the most suitable because finding such a bush is very difficult

this is what i do and it really works...
you will need some bamboo canes or branches or some sticks, make a cross out of it and dangle CD`s from each side with string, when the sun hits the CDs streaks of light go in every direction that really scares them off.

We use to have few trees of plum (آلوبخارا), our problem was, whenever the fruits started to ripen up parrots eat all the fruits, they were very fast in identifying the changed color of the fruits; they could even see a slightest change in green to yellowish and use to eat that.
My father use to say kill one parrot with the slingshot and hang it on the tree and parrots will never come on that tree, I didn’t have heart to kill any parrot so could not test this method
