Could anybody tell what is
'Magnolia grandiflora' or 'Little Gem' and 'Nepeta cataria' or Catnip' plant called in urdu ?

If you wanna buy magnolia grandiflora just tell the nurseryman magnolia he will understand thats how i bought my first one.

You can check "Flowers of India" website for Urdu and mainly Hindi names. http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/s ... atnip.html.

If this is for purchasing purposes, the nurserymen would be more familiar with common English or Latin names. As you might know most of the Urdu plant names are heavily, are either Persian or Arabic. Catnip according that website "Bad'rang boya" which is probably Persian.

@ Ahmed Irfan Right you are, the nursery wala knew what mangolia is. Thank You !
@ M Farooq 'badrang boya' sounds even more difficult and unfamiliar than catnip. Thank You for your reply. :)
