I recall Auricaria (but of course no flowers as you require), Har singhaar, Conocarpus, and blossoming apple trees do very well too. The pink and purple crape myrtle will look beautiful. The majestic Magnolia grandiflora is worthwhile but as you know it has dead slow growth.

The list I forwarded to the management included:
Jacaranda mimosifolia
Acer palmatum
lagerstroemia indica
Handroanthus impetiginosa
Tabebuia Caraiba
Magnolia Spp.
