Absolutely agreed. Today, I also bought a locally grafted rose from Haji sahib named Saeeda Kareem. I think it is beautiful and strongly scented.aykhan wrote:However, beautiful it is. We should all encourage our local hybridizers buy buying their cultivars since this will give them respect, boost their ego and encourage them to work harder and others in the local market to compete. That's how things will get better. Everything nationally produced must be encouraged, it is the fair thing to do and patriotic also. Maybe people like us should help these people like Haji saheb of Changa to introduce their roses internationally so they can be recognized and get an ARS rating also.

Yes you are right Dr sb we should encourage our local hybrid breeders. It encourages the breeders & will also make us proud to such beautiful local hybrid varieties. It will boost the national spirit. The local Jabar bin Hayyan is such a beauty which Rafique sb posted.i,l add this into my collection. The Parveen Shakir is so beautiful. The main thing these local hybrids are not available in the Islamabad or Peshawar market.

For some reason the single in white amaryllis attracts me more. The Snow White is frilly and unique though.
