any season in which the plant is growing actively is good for vegetative propagation... humidity and mild temperatures reduce the stress..

About 7 years ago I saw a 4X3 foot bush of Single flowered Gardenia with quite a few highly perfumed flowers on it at Changa Manga.Since then I have acquired Gardenia Grandi flora Variagata, Gardenia Flucida and Gardenia Thunbergia but has not found what I was looking for.
I went crazy for its fragrance but am loosing the charm Due to poor result.
Now I am collecting various types of MOTIA, They bloom a lot, are easy to grow and have a refreshing fragrance.Motia, Motia and Motias for me.

Brig saheb don't give up on gardenias. Khabbab and I were nursery surfing today and we have seen them bloom in neglect. I think filtered light and rich soil alone will do it and maybe there is no myth to growing them. They'll suffer in bad weather but probably bloom enough to satisfy. If they are flowering these days then really how tough can t be?
