I am growing Lilium first time and waiting for my lilums to bloom.

My one lilium's flower bud have fallen down after drying out.

Kindly explain why their flower buds are drying? and guide me watering for these lilium.

And these flowers need any protection in this frost or not..

I have little experience of this plant. A decade ago I tried them and failed. Last year I again tried them, after bloom those in the ground parished and those in the pots look to have survived , I have yet to see if they will rebloom this spring, if they do then I intend to purchase many more next year.
