I had a few local orange single Daylilies and seeing such a variety and beauty on the web I decided to go for them whole heartedly. A forum friend from USA sent me some seedlings and seeds, which got me started. Later Adnan gifted me one and another gardening friend Dr Asad gave me four plants.
The seedlings are on buds.

I love the yellow colour and am trying to get/develop yellow Amaryllis.

Good thing is that they multiply and form clumps, the blooming become profuse and you have so many colors, shapes and patterns to choose from..

I only had 3 colors of daylilies till last year, seeing different varieties on adnans laptop really pushed me to get some more they truly are magnificent plus they act as a good transition from the spring blooms to the summer blooms......

I saw them first time three years ago in a magazine, I fell in love with them.I became more interested when I came to know that they are summer flowering, ever green plants.Last week when I was in my garden , I noticed several plants which I planted in May (they gave only 8-12 buds per plant back then) were bearing over 30 buds per scape. Some of them shot scapes which were as thick as Amaryllis flower stem. Many are making babies now.I think next year there would be 200-300 flowers per plant if I donot divide them.

Yes they are lovely indeed. A very pleasant new discovery for me. Even when not in bloom I think the foliage gives a pleasant border.
