Re: My Garden today 4th of July
HI Farhan first of all I never apply manure to Zinnia beds as the days are ususlly very hot.I only apply ADP after a week of planting out.secondly I try not to make the foliage wet plus I water my zinnias in either in early morning or in evening to prevent leaf burn. Its very importsnt to let the soil fully dry between the watering. If u water it regularly twice a day zinnia will die out.its because of the fungus.zinnia also needs some drought as it comes from arid zones n do not like too much watering.

HI Hamad its because u care so much for your Zinnias. You water them so much that the soil never gets completly dry.many gardeners think the days are hot n water zinnia frequently which is a great mistake which leads to death of the plants.Never sprinkle water over the foliage. Just place a hose on the one end of the bed in evening.

Zinnia versus summer cosmos.i prefer the latter for Lahore weather.zinnia colour tend to dull very quickly. Not taking anything away from your wonderful display of zinnias

Irfan it depends on the colors you select.I never plant shell pink or cherry colors due to color loss. I don,t like cosmos. Thanks you liked my zinnias. My favorite colors are Dreamland,s Scarlet, Deep rose, Yellow & Red. Magellan,s Orange, White, Coral. You are right some colors get dull like Dream lands Pink, Coral.Magellan cherry, Red.
