Brig sb Lupins even the most disease resisstant variety The Russel hybrids F-1 are a failure here.thats why you can not find flowers of lupins in our gardens.the main problem is rust.Lupin germinate very well but never blooms.its not only my experince, ask any gardener.the answer will be simple a failure in past.there so many other annuals to plant for spring.the problem is actually the summer,a very limited edition & the strong sun even fades the colors.spring is not a problem.so long list that its very hard to choose from.its just like you to a big store to select garments & its very hard to make decision.

i think the key for lupin is partial shade(eastern exposure) due our intense summers and slightly acidic soil. They failed me last spring also but i suppose i should try them again.

No....just cow manure for seedling that have grown reasonably. I tried Urea, DAP and NPK but i don't know i fail miserably killing plants. May be because i apply more quantity. So i am sticking right now with cow dung

If you can buy a 20:20:20 NPK fertlizer with trace elements, dissolve 2 table spoons in 10 liters of water and sprinkle your seedlings twice or thrice weekly, you will be delighted by their progress inshaAllah

Agony is that if at all you get hold of some NPK there is no rating on it, i have tried as far as Islamabad. Even good compost is unheard of :P.....the nearest place i found decent compost/peat is Lahore. I envy karachites :-)...........
