Re: Garden Update 2013
I think monsoon is the best time for nanthra cutting. These all borders were grown from cuttings from a single plant which was overly grown in monsoon. Cheapest method...

Ajj bohat khamoshi hai Forum per....chalo main hi kuch shoor machata hun.
Finally a pink larkspur

White look good too....

@Khabbab..this is the scabiosa...any hopes???

Any idea about this caterpillar?

I did not lift them up.....this time. Akhir koi hadd hoti hai

Carnation is the one of the best plant annual(Infact they are perennial if tended to carefully in summers). After sowing i did absolutely nothing except watering. They grew by themselves, Don't bother about weather, pest or for that matter anything. A must try for beginners.....

Hollyhocks are too difficult to manage, the dwarf varieties are much more easier to deal with, but i guess it's no use tending them further as you are departing soon
when my plants flop over i sometimes feel i should let go but the love pulls me back and i tend them, give them first aid

Re: Garden Update 2013
Dismal by departure and Rains, today after some days when I visited the garden, it presented quite a few lovely sights. Best of which was countless butterflies & pollinators enjoying themselves.
My faith in nature and God’s hand in gardening is increasing manifold. As I see around I see mass invasion of all sorts of pests, caterpillars and what not. If it was not rain which has forced me to lay off, I would never have been able to control the pests due large scale, thereby I would have blamed myself for the inability, But Nature has taken the blame on itself…..through rains……

I am stunned! Such beautiful butterflies! We didn't have many in Lahore this year. Brig Arif thinks its the spraying for Dengue control and that might just be the case.
