you are very right Umar , I was planning to bring some tubers to Pakistan and I have a wish list for that, soon I will post it in question and problem section to ask expert opinion like yourself to guide me regarding which of them will survive and thrive in our climate and come true with flower and your participation is requested in anticipation and also thanks for guiding me and InshAllah I m not discourage but a bit disappointed because all that I like is tubers and that's it but lets see which of my wish list can survive in Pakistan and also you can add a tuber in my list or suggest that do well in our climate if I would not add it in my list.

hamad bhai i am not expert in lilies field it is my second year with them .exact time of previous years sprouting is not in my mind perhaps in octoberthey started sprouted and flowers in end march and April am growing them in ground under shade of mangoes trees.only evening sun approaches them.after blooming they remained green and in June they start drying their leaves and produced proliferation's in july which i plucked from plant and sowed them in pot they start sprouting suddenly and now are about 2 inches and mother plants are now completely vanished. .about variety i am sure they are Asiatic lilies cultivar not sure.one of them is same as yours white and its flower size is bigger than others.

seems to be I may get some Lily seeds this year, their seed pods are growing bigger and bigger which is quite unusual for me because so far it didn't manage to get any seeds in my last couple of years experience, usually their seed pods get dry and never bear any seeds but I manage to propagate them from offsets but if I will get these seeds this year it will be another different experience for me

Arif sb I started with few lilies in Pots and now I have more than hundred half in Pots and half in raised bed, both are doing good. They start sprouting in start of April when the temperatures are quite low in here (around 08 to 10 Day time and 0 to 5 night time) and start producing buds in June and flowering in July and August (Temperature around 15 o 20 Day time and 08 to 10 night time), they start producing seed pods in August to September and in October to November they will die back, I will dig them and separate the offsets and plant them separately, flowering size bulb produce 5 to 8 offsets and the mother corm remain alive for the next season and give more flowers and some times after producing offsets mother corm divided into two equal size corms.
when they are dormant I don't water them at all just keep them in soil, in harsh winter put them under shelter not indoor but at least not exposed to snow and harsh weather, when they start sprouting water them once a week or when the pots are dry enough, when they are on buds/flowers water them twice or thrice a week depend on weather, after flowering reduce watering and stop when the leaves start turning yellow.
but most of my lilies are Oriental and they perform well here just because of the weather conditions I never used any kind of fertilizer and for potting mix I use multipurpose compost.

How do you differentiate oriental and Asiatic lilies.

By fragrance, shape & texture of flowers. Oriental are very fragrant and asiactic are not fragrant. Texture Of flowers are also different as flowers in asiastic have plain or sharper edges vs flowers in orientals have slightly ruffled edges and their flowers size is bigger. The texture of flowers in asiatic is more smoother vs orientals. The picture of white lillium shown appears to be oriental casablanca and that would be a certainty if this lillium is fragrant.

Asiatic are 2 to 4 feet

Asiatic are early bloomers they bloom in June and July
Oriental are late bloomer they bloom in July August

Fragrance
Oriental are Heavily scented
Asiatic are not fragrant, may be few

Asiatic flower size is small 10" to 12"
Oriental flower size is big 12" to 16"

Asiatic flowers is flat in look
Oriental flower is trumpet like in shape

Asiatic bear seeds on stem next to each leaf

Climate
Asiatic are more heat tolerant (because they are hybrid to Asian species)

Presumably this information is based on experience as blooming time in Lahore/ islamabad is April during the second year unless grown in europe.

70% to 80% experience and the rest I have read actually blooming time in Pakistan is very different from Europe, my lilies are in UK but soon InshAllah I m planning to start in Pakistan
