Advice for grass

My lawn grass is withered and sparsely spread. It is American grass and this condition is because of shade (Mali comments).
Any chance of improvement by means of urea, watering etc, or do we replace it with some other grass. If water then how much water, if urea then how much.

Coming back to lawn again, i have received conflicting suggestions for which fertiliser to use. One says use urea, dap is not recommended for grass the other says use dap not urea. Which option to take

Finally planted the grass. It is korean grass as per nursery guy. Issue is watering. How often do i water initially. Fertilizer i am told urea monthly and occassionally DAP

Thanks. How long do i have to continue the daily watering frequency. I read somewhere in this forum that there should be heavy watering after four or five days rather than light watering. Obviously that is for established gardens. I have been told that korean grass take around 3 months to establish
