It takes three to four years to fruit. May be even less than that as i recall seeing a hardly ten feet tree fruiting.
My sweet Imli tree, was sown in 2009 is growing well,is more than 15 feet high, if it fruits in another 2-3 years I would be happy but I do not think so.

Arif sb, your Imli tree is still very young. I have only seen mature trees (with wide trunks) that bear fruits.

If they bear fruits in four years then Arif sb. may be lucky to have some in a year or two.

I agree it was only For Khalid Abro, I do not expect it to fruit in another 10 years.

I bought recently a grafted sweet tamarind plant and I was informed that it would take this grafted plant atleast 3-4 years to bear fruit.

But
Life is full of surprises, Today I was really surprised to see that my neglected Imli trees at Thokar, not half the size of one at my house but of the same age, were blooming and developing pods.
From seed to fruit in 4 years, end of speculations.
