Farhan is right it was a thunder storm. Frequent rains are destroying our plants specially pansy.Farhan you are a great gardener now my dear.All of your annuals are blooming. Mine only pansy is in bloom.This year i planted Petunia, Snaps & Mimulas after frost to get rid of plastic sheets.

Yes quite a few things are blooming, plastic does play a role especially keeping the frost away. This year it was way cool, i observed at least 15 frosty nights.

Farhan, you have an amazingly beautiful garden. I feel sorry for your loss. Mine had just started to bloom and badly affected by hailstorm with inches and inches of rain. Hope things will get better......

Use of plastic covers proved good for plants that were on blooms, some required staking and some were sheared off for a second flush. Staking is indeed essential if one is growing taller species, however i rely mostly on perimeter staking, firstly because i feel individual staking takes the looks away, secondly there are too many plants to stake

For plastic, if its slanting down, there is absolutely no issues, despite heavy rains none water accumulated over protected borders.
One must deadhead damaged blooms of all plants.
Sweetpeas did suffer, due to being top heavy, however one must never be hesitant to prune sweetpeas, or infact any plant as most of them come back to a better shape.
I see lesser aphid activity post rain, which is one big benefit, however time has come that we should be prepared for heavy pest activity, especially leaf miners, caterpillars and aphids.

To counter pests, first & the most important step is observation. Check new growth/just below the buds for aphid activity, look for butterfly/moth eggs below leaves especially Nasturtium which is the most favorite plant. For leaf miners if picked early it can be controlled by picking out the affected leaf early.

These rains were thunder rains, meaning by they acted as fertilizer also due to lower PH and Nitrogen.

Full Sunshine today in Pindi/Islo. Plants have almost recovered from rain damage but another spell lasting at least four days is expected to start after Friday.

Brace yourselves fellow gardeners
