Rafique Bhai its layia elegans, named after the botanist "lay" who worked on the species.

Malva is blooming since month, blooms open from down below in a spiral finally reaching atop. This one is Merlin F-2. About 6 Feet in height. Has a glossy foliage, however as compared to F-1 (sylvestris/Zebrina), its less showy. Blooms profusely, however very difficult to capture the plants as most blooms are hidden under foliage and from certain angle only some are visible. It is perennial in our climate and can be cutback after blooming. Self sows very easily.

Thanks Farhan Bhai to clarify Layia.
Greatly captured, very impressive and looking stunning in mass plantation.

Did you try it? One reason could be availability of only F-2 Species.
