Is gardening a permanent hobby?

Re: Is gardening a permanent hobby?
We had a lawn in our home few years back and then we changed our house and shifted to a new one, this new house doesn’t have any garden or soil where something can be planted, and Islamabad is always short of water in summer seasons, so we can not even go for Pots or rooftop gardening.
I am member of this forum but I do not plant any thing, it was my hobby when I had place to plant but even now when I do not have any place or enough water to keep this hobby it is still my hobby.

It is more than life style, disease is a negative word, probably addiction is the closest word.

In my point of view ,it depends upon how successfully you maintain your garden and adopted new ideas regarding your garden. In this way it is a permanent hobby.I love the gardening just because i love the nature.........

Re: Is gardening a permanent hobby?
before marriage, i used to grow plants in coniainetrs, mostly creepers...after marriage i liverd in rented places and very small houses, so could not do any gardening except for one or two money plant bottles, that too were always left behind when shifting to a new place. finally i abandoned it. now that we have bought our own apartment, and have acess to roof, m planning to start kitchen gardening to get some benefit from this hobby of mine, so i think the germs still are there in me. i have been doing organing gardening making compost from kitchen waste mostly, since at my parents' place we had big space for gardening. i intend to do the same in here, but in pots may be. wish me luck.
