Mr Izhar
&
Mr Hamad

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and nice words. As I have explained earlier I am Govt. Officer and its my bad luch or good luck, I transferred after every two to three years and this time I am in islamabad. Here rents are very high and I am paying more than my capacity but house is without lawn so my maximum plants are in containers. There is a small 6*15 small bed out side the house which is enough for me..........hahahahha
I hope I will learn alot and share my knowledge with all of you.
Hostas are my first love, after shifting here, the owner of the house who is living upstairs has plucked few hosta roots in my absence and it was a painful act for me. These Hostas are from USA and UK. Actually this plant grow well in cold areas and give good results in shape of leaves and flower.
Mr. Izhar, your friend who grow hosta , is he live in Islamabad?
I also have crinum of three different species.
My maximum plants are from USA because I have many friends there, who send me my favorite plants.

Thank you man
I received bulbs of this plant from Denmark and container is in my native home and city . My native city is Mirpur (azad Kashmir) I left my many plants there because its very hard to move at different stations with all plants and containers. This plant loves shade and I never exposed it to sun, keep warm. Water regularly.
I also have cardwell lily, blooms are different but its leaves are similar to Hostas leaves.
I dont know how it will behave in Lahore but according to my experience, it may grow nicely there.

Welcome Kaleem, which area of Kashmir are you belonging to. YuuP, lovely but alas most of us dont have the luxury of cool balmy nights, chilly early mornings with a devil of a mist rising from the streams, rivers and springs and a evil afternoon heat. Your houses are laid out on East facing sides of the mountains which enables you to miss out on the afternoon sun. Khair, most of us love to bake in a oven like you do in your hunt of bread and butter.
Guys, we cannot compete with the results from Kashmir but if their are any fern lovers with the green fingers to keep them alive in a oven, then i believe Kaleem is the best person but you will have to be adventurous enough to go collecting in the wild. Lovely specimens out there, come to think of it wild flowers also. Wild bulbs any one, have to get down on your hands and knees to collect.
Regards.
