Re: Motia/Jasmine/Mogra?
I have 4 varieties as shown below
Mogra in buds the lanky plant bears a few large flowers and has looks of a plant not HAPPY.
This one has a long bud and thin petals but has the most pleasant fragrance.
The common bush type is highly fragrant.
This one also very fragrant is like a climber on a support.
Climbing on Petris Valubalis

Nice pictures Sir
Just out of curiosity, in the fourth pic the tree trunk seems to be hanging. Isn't it?

The sharp bend of the trunk is creating this illusion. An older picture to clarify.

Re: Motia/Jasmine/Mogra?
I plan to add motia in my collection of fragrant plants in fact the first perennial fragrant plant.. After going through this forum and toptopicals.com and lot of other mind boggling netsurfing i have finalized to buy a jasminum sambac mysore mulli variety. This variety is considered a very fast growing, shade tolerant and strongly fragrant.
1. The jasminum sambac and grandiflorum available in my city is as cheap as 15 rs since its propagated from cuttings.
2. Another online retailer claims from south india to sell butt mograw or madan mogra (jasminum sambac grand tuscany, thats what i understand, plz correct if wrong) for Rs. 150.
3.Third online seller is claiming to sell exact plant mysore mulli at Rs. 200. Arabian nights also being sold online for same price
The question is so long the variety is jasminum sambac should the specific variety be a concern or such minute detail is of no use ?
If specification is important are there any hints to differentiate between varieties to actually zero upon the one i want?
