1) Reduce the plant size to half by pruning / cutting
2) Remove all the leaves
3) Remove the upper 2-3 inch soil near the plant
4) Add generous amount of well rotted manure (ojhri ki khaad)
5) Mix well with the soil
6) Water every second day.. let it dry between watering

If you have observed the pest then any general pesticide will do... just follow these points:
1) Make the recommended concentration carefully, buy a disposable syringe for measuring the pesticide volume
2) Water the plants well before, at least 1-2 hours of, spray
3) Spray in the evening, near maghrib time
4) Spray every day for 4-5 consecutive days, then each week for two weeks and finally every 15th day, whether you see the pests or not
5) Spray the pots, soil, beneath the leaves, on the stem and nearby walls
6) Pluck any flowers or flower buds and fruits if possible
7) Chop off the damaged leaves and branches as soon as you see the new growth
8) Store the pesticide in a cool and dark place
9) Pesticides generally loose their potency after 6 months of container opening, so buy new one and discard the old

I did the spray on plants but i think its too late for Zinnias as they are very young i think they wont survive the attack and Dhalia is showing progress as there are no insects there i think they are Aphids which i saw on these plants. As you recommended i remove the effected leaves and dead head no flower bud was showing any defect area but do you recommend me to remove them?Izhar wrote:If you have observed the pest then any general pesticide will do... just follow these points:

According to my little knowlegde your rose have suckers which sucks in all the important minerals and nutrients required by the original one. The solution for that is simply call mali and say him to seperate the both of them. In this way you can have two of them

Sad to hear that but red desi roses are quite robust. Given that it the third time, lets analyze the situation:asimishtiaq wrote:All the stems turned black and my plant is Dead dont know the reason still.I will not get Desi Rose again cuz its third time this happened with me seems like Red Rose dun suits my place or me :)asimishtiaq wrote:here are the pics of my Desi rose in trouble.kindly help me out here. All
1) How often do you water?
2) Were the roses getting direct sunlight, if yes, how long?
3) Are the pot holes clogged, or is there good drainage in the pots?
Your pot soil is not looking healthy (water logged and probably too alkaline). More importantly and you seem to be growing them in shade. Roses don't do well in shade or where they don't get direct sunlight.
Don't give up, given that desi roses are dirt cheap, you can try again, in a new pot soil, and this time don't grow in the same container. Somehow I feel the cement pot is contributing to its death (leaching alkaline material or too much of calcium but just my hypothesis). Concrete pots are used as container though.
Regards.

Salam, Jazakallah Farooq abhi,
1) How often do you water?
Ans:On alternate Days and gave this plant moderate water.
2) Were the roses getting direct sunlight, if yes, how long?
Ans:Yes my plants get arround 05 Hours sunlight daily.
3) Are the pot holes clogged, or is there good drainage in the pots?
Ans:Nop i saw the water coming out of the pot when i water it sometimes more than it can hold.so its not clogged.
The soil iam using is the one whihc all other plants have and they are doing gud in it.May the composition is not right kinldy tell me what should be the ratio of Soil and Khaad? or any other thing iam missing.
