Spring at Gulzar-e-Hijri 2014
A new thread with blooms... sowing early under shade has given me early blooming and still continuing...
First is from our seed bank "Salvia Lady in red" beautiful and aggressive plant:
Two kalanchoe blossfeldiana double blooming variety.. bought them last year and they have survived long spells of not watering... full sun.. full shade, this year they will be pampered inshaAllah:
Brugmanisa suaveolens from T&M seeds growing good, excellent germination rate:
Larkspur "King size scarlet" from T&M, not exactly scarlet but pink, nonetheless beautiful blooms in less then 30 mins of direct sun (my garden at backside is open to sky but direct sun is around 30 min on each plant):
Another seed bank plant dwarf wallflower, it started blooming a bit late, recently started blooming 4-5 days back:
Seed banks "Red poppies", buds have started appearing, it is the first time big poppy has started producing buds:
These Salvias are blooming since two months and they are planted in complete shade, my pet goat has nibbled some, otherwise it was a beautiful lush bed:
Daylilies growing good as ever, they are one of least demanding plants:
Colorful small bed outside home with phlox, corn poppies, gazania, petunia, coreopsis, california poppy:
Armeria from T&M, lets see if it is perennial in our area or not:
Petunia from seed bank, no blooms yet:
Night Phlox from seed bank, buds have started appearing:
Monestera delociosa yellow variegated has also started forming inflorescence:

Splendid. Very nice especially kalanchoes, anemones, dianthus and helenium. It tends to show your dedication to gardening.

Re: Spring at Gulzar-e-Hijri 2014
Yes i am growing armeria ballarena Red, but smallish yet, what i conjure in karachi seedlings don't cease growth and one gets a continuous growth. Green thumb is back and hopefully you will continue to please us . Mix border is very nice. Regarding salvias, i don;t know why they do not grow this big here. Good to see poppies also, its very positive sign that poppies can grow in Karachi. Petunia from seed bank appears to be F-2 now with more vegetative growth and most probably ordinary blooms.
