Senecio vine
Senecio is in my garden for the last 20 years. But there is no plant over three years old. When they are in prime they just die. I have tried them in various locations but it is the same, they hate pots.
YOUR EXPERIENCE PLEASE

Re: Senecio vine
In my experience, Senecio is very sensitive to watering esp. in a pot. In one hot summer, it nearly wilted to death in 1-2 days when the pot soil dried out (I was away). It doesn't like shade and winter either. Seems to die back to the ground in winter esp if there is some shade. Have you noticed any trend with respect to the season i.e. in which season most of your vines died?

Re: Senecio vine
Just a guess but could it be extreme summer heat/Sun.........Although it prefers full sun but the UV index in our summers is very high.......Partial shade in these month?

Re: Senecio vine
Should I assume that no one has a vine older than 3 years.

The tip cuttings take easily so I keep replanishing my stock.
