Thank you !
The plant name is ficus , easily available in local nurseries.

For a bonsai , in my experience, all it takes is PATIENCE and a little know how of what you have to do with your plant.

Right pruning in order to shape the tree and, cutting and training the plant's roots so it gradually adapt its roots in a confined space together with systematically decreasing the size of pot , are key points to have a perfect bonsai. I repot my bonsai every 12 months.
Moreover, soil mix is very important. It should be light in weight and should retain moisture. I use a mixture of compost+manure+clay(very little)+sand+ half composted wood pieces.

when shifting to smaller container, some roots will be damaged. Is this okay and plant is not stressed out?

@ Farhan
Like ficus, use trees that are 'hard to die' types. Most preferably trees that are native to our environment.
When cutting roots try to avoid the main root. Sub-roots to the main root and smaller roots should be cut. With time main roots will become more prominent hence giving an older look.
@ Rabia
Thank You. Its 2.5 years old.

cool but your tips were very brief would you like to share a bit details because I anticipated that we could get benefited from your experience as most of us are amateur gardeners and would like to try new things and Bonsai is quite intriguing

Thanks and regards

Beautiful Ficus Bonsai Tree...
It's a great effort especially in "BONSAI". Hope you can do this job for last 6 to 7 years, this shows the age of Ficus Tree for last 2 to 3 year by care, pruning and designing and selecting desire container in which next future growth..

thanks brother, what I meant was to elaborate each step a bit like what kind of medium you are using I have seen people using rice husk if so then what about the ratio/proportion and any fertilizer, water need, pruning/triming tech or any specific care while training the plant and if you are working on another one then do take pics of each stage it would help us a lot and because their roots are too shallow, any tips to take care of them or how about a support for the plant because of its shallow base, and in the same manner if you elaborate or define each and every step one by one from start to this stage then it would be great :)

Thanks and Regards
