Re: Using Plastic Bottles as containers
Just sharing my experience.....i tried metal/Plastic and wood containers...and i found them to be quite difficult because of drainage issue. Require very careful watering. Especially containers with flat bases. As it will require quite a few drainage holes.....unless the container shape is pot like(water directed towards the single drainage hole) i would not recommend these.
Maybe suitable for plants which like wet feet

Re: Using Plastic Bottles as containers
Rightly said Farhan bhai, the plastic containers even if we put a light airy or sandy medium retains water and can lead to rotting of the plant roots, although for water loving plants like water lily etc, plastic containers can mean less maintenance and watering intervals.

Another DIY idea
Get a empty Liter Pet bottle preferably the Green one.Cut 4 inches from the bottom and you will be left with the funnel shaped upper portion.Get some holes with a nail in the bottle head.Your flowering pot is ready !
Hang it on wall or on a tree and plant some hanging plants
