Re: Garden Update 2013
Farhan its matter of personal taste & availability of space.simple formula go for mix if the space is limited,go for separate if the space is big.
No need of separate colors just use to purchase mixed colors.your space is limited because you grow every available annual.i usually grow Snaps,Petunias & Pansies so thats why i grow in separate colors.Sonnet has eight colors so it needs lot of space.go for mix Farhan sb.

Re: Garden Update 2013 Dénouement
The End
As I leave my garden for good, all I have are tremendous memories, full of education and emotions, and of-course photographs which will remind me of my journey.
When I shifted to my current temporary aboard in Nov, 2011, I knew absolutely nothing about gardening. Thereafter love of gardening was triggered as a Mali threw some veggie seeds that grew. It was a barren place and me as well in term of what gardening is, but I started to learn, and biggest instrument of learning was Gardening Pakistan. Steadily I continued the errand knowing that sooner I will have to leave this place. But I persisted, even today as I lifted fallen leaves, watered my plants and collected some seeds for a final farewell. Harsh summers, frost, heavy downpours, pests and uncountable toil, and lastly the reward, this was one heck of a roller-coaster ride. A life time to remember..... I am quite certain that I will not be able to garden in near foreseeable future due my profession, and I wonder is there any use of collecting seeds other than “Dil ko Tasali”……
Some people wondered that I was fool for improving a place which will be of someone else after an year…….But what I have now is the beautiful educational journey, and the fragrance & color that spilled throughout the year climaxed into this spring! I hope that who so ever comes here makes some effort to keep it going….. This world is also our temporary aboard, should we stop living gloriously???? Though I deliberately indulged myself in temporary annual plants, but there are lot of perennials also which I cannot take along with me. Just wish them long life. Many are on buds, I have asked neighbors to send me pictures if they do bloom…….. My garden bids me farewell with best possible colors……I am contended that I saw them bloom!!!!
Whenever............. my next venture will be perennials.
My advice to newbies would be to experience from seed. At least for me, Sight of germination and healthy seedling is more romantic and rewarding than any exotic flower……..Creating something out of nothingness and a hope that one day it will flower. It flowers or not is not important but the hope & Dream is……
My first germination....can never forget the joy.....

Thank you friends, for bearing with me and being good companions. I had marvelous time. Forgive anything said & done. Continue the good job Guys….
Signing off for an indefinite period…. Happy Gardening!!!!!!
God willing One day Insha Allah we will make “Garden Pakistan”….A community garden where all members contribute in whatever means possible for an amalgamation of diverse plants, orchestrated beautifully by combine wisdom and efforts of members. An unparalleled iconic Garden of our times.
@Sir Arif …this was cooking in my mind…and there one day we will all “dhaaa our mangi”
So finely dressed-the world's impressed!
The colors, see them now?
My garden wept so grievously,
Departure, can this be?
You, co-creator, leaving
For another destiny?
Don't go! Don't go!
Why, you belong to me!
My garden flaunted finest-
Lemon bee balm, fairy rose,
Red poppies, golden Marguerite,
Yarrow's yellow clothes.
The crickets chirped a song,
And crows cackled back a bit,
The wind wooed every flower,
Brought the scent of violet.
Saw an argument of sedum
With the weeds between its toes,
I settled it--I plucked the weeds.
Who'll go here? Heaven knows.
The smell of earth, the green, green grass,
The melodies of bees,
I drank in all, that nature call,
For future memories.

Re: Garden Update 2013....Dénouement
but with due respect "also a new beginning", farhan you made the atmosphere a bit sentimental
the happy part is that you are leaving for good (future)
and to serve the nation may Allah help you and I hope you will come back to gardening soon and we will wait InshAllah, you learned a lot in a very short time and from you we learned a lot, live a happy life grow like a plant and bloom like a flower and thank you for sharing your seeds God bless you my friend but you know having said that even though when I read your post I was having fluttery feeling, bye for now but I hope soon we will listen from you and I think you would be able to keep in touch at least once a while.
