Hamad AK actually I don’t have first hand experience but I think we can’t get the same performance in our warmer climatic conditions, actually they are meant to be grown in hilly or colder areas as rightly said by Umar Khan.

but what Yahyah has informed me about the life cycle of lilies in Sindh Karachi in one of his post sounds to be quite promising but Arif sb has some bad experiences because of warm weather but refrigeration may help

dear hamad: i am pleased to know that u are interested these heavenly flowers as i consider them the best for size colour texture longivity and good perfume. Easter lilies here in daharki as well as in karachi remain dormant from mid may to mid October in little bit wet soil in a shaded area. do not water them too much just keep the soil a little wet so as to keep the bulbs hydrated. in October i take them out and plant them in new container, the bigger the better, placing them two inches from the surface. in my pots i place two three inches of dung manure then mixed loam and at the top four inches mostly sandy soil with a little dung manure. in November here in daharki or by late october in karachi they sprout. i place the pot only in the morning sun till January, then i keep it in open sun. in February a nice flush of blooms come. for the whole month. sometimes in April a second flush also comes which i do not want as April is too hot here and it only weakens the bulbs.i always shift the pots in the morning sun area in march where they remain till may when the leave turn yellow . in the first week of June i pull out the dead stems and keep the pot in shaded area again.hope this will help you.

I am totally disappointed with the Lillium.
Their natural time to bloom in Lahore is 3rd-4th week of May and it is so hot and dry that the flowers don’t get a chance to bloom properly.
The flowers are withered, faded and last only for a day or two.
If a flower does not look happy, how can it make me happy.
Three stems of lilium of 2011died, on opening the pot I found the bulbs have reduced to about one inch in diameter, I am disappointed

actually the hot weather is the issue, if they get neutralise in such a way that they bloom around Spring or late Fall but not in Summer, nowadays the temperature in London is around 25C to max 30C but they started to sprout when the temperatures were around 10C to 15C, if we can get some good tips to grow them in our climate then that would be great, I m also interested in bringing them home.

I have grown these beauties in past at Abbottabad.very promising flowers there but in plains not of that quality.Let me clarify i am talking about second season blooms.many bulbs which need chill hours will flower in there first year after import but in second year they will fail to bloom or the quality will be very poor.Lilliums are amongst those bulbs. My favorite are the spotted flowered varieties.in right conditions True lily is an exotic choice!
