This time it is more of a Photo Competition.
Categories are:-
1) People
Photographs of gardeners or of people enjoying a garden. Perhaps someone working in the garden, kicking back and relaxing or simply a portrait of someone in a garden. You can showcase yourself also if you like
2) Wildlife
Photographs of insects, birds and creatures found wild in the gardens & places around you. It does not need to be your own yard, but a capture that you make anywhere.
3) Landscape
Any worthwhile landscape picture that you can capture around you or a resort you are visiting on a vacation maybe.
Rules
There are no strict rules this time, however the picture must have been taken during the dates of competition. You should provide a validation image such as date stamp on the image or a wide angle shot such as if you are capturing a bug. No post restrictions. We will not be touchy about validations but please no plagiarism i.e lifting from internet. We will trust our members on this issue and his/her word will be regarded.
Judging
Best picture in each category will be chosen through Public Opinion.
How to Submit Images
3 New threads for each category will be created. You can simply post your images there with a brief description such as where you photographed and what you want to highlight.
Dates of Competition
Competition starts 20 July, 2013 and will end on 31 August, 2013. After all the entries have been received in all three categories. Opinion Polls will be created for each category. This Poll will remain open till 14 September, 2013 for members to cast their vote. Winner will be announced on 15 September, 2013. Distribution of prices will depend on next group purchase after 15 September, 2013 and will also include shipping times.
Who all can participate
This time everyone can participate including the Gardening Pakistan Team (Admins & Mods Included). Only person not eligible is organizer i.e Me
Prizes
In next overseas group purchase, the winners of each category will have the liberty of choosing seed packets of his own choice free of charge for a Specified amount.
Ineligibility, Rules and Final Decision
1)Any evident plagiarism by any member will render him ineligible. That is the photo must be taken by the member himself and that too in the dates of competition.
2)In case of Any violation/Objection or confusion the Gardening Pakistan Team will mutually take a decision that will be final.
3)GP team has the right to any change the format if need arises
4) Decision of GP Team(Mir Afzal/Khabbab/Farhan) will be Final.
