Today I harvested two pods of Daylilies and how many seeds I got, 2+3.
Although burnt by the sun they are still putting up a show along with Rudbeckia.

A second crop of blooms is starting on my Day-lilies

Image

This one boxed red has already given 5 scapes and 4 more are coming up.

They appear to be emerging from baby fans.
It means this seedling planted in 2011 has now formed 9-10 fans.
It is not so with all, some have only two fans

Sir is it the 'second crop' that is associated with re-blooming Daylilies or does the second re-blooming happen sometime after all the flower stalks in the plant has finished flowering ?... same question is for the re-blooming Irises

As I understand re-blooming are the ones which bloom again in different season, like blooming in spring and again in Autumn.

Sir Arif, thanks for your love and motivation for daylilies i have also jumped into this venture and bought two fully mature fans with flower blooming scapes, one is a double orange 'Kwanso' and the other is a yellow with maroon halo and fragrant, they were uprooted from the ground. The orange one is doing fine and flowers are opening daily but the yellow one is either in shock or not doing well... the flower scape has dried out and the foliage as well, the baby fan it had is still green... will its roots survive and re grow or is it going to die. Please help :?

This morning on my visit to my garden to my surprise I was greeted by the three UN expected smiling faces.

I was told that most of Day lilies had re-bloomed in July that is good news.
Soon I would be sowing my Daylily seeds.
