Re: Air Plants
These are not available in any nursery of Islamabad and Lahore but may be available in Karachi. I have four varieties and these are from Singapore. One of my friend has two varieties and he offers these at a reasonable price.

Nice, do they need shade , you put them under green cloth, what is their scientific name ? How they survive in wild , native of some rain forests probably.

Their generic name is Tilandsia. We discused them at length before. They grow on trees but in domestic environment they root with difficulty. Mine just died a week ago after struggling with weird indoor weather and lack of humidity.

Re: Air Plants
Just googled and found that:
"a plant may take 5 to 20 years to mature and a 50 year old clump may be only 20cm across"

Re: Air Plants
This is a really beautiful air-plant. What a unique flower shape! How did they make it bloom?
By chance, I see purple orchids in the right corner. The flower looks almost identical to the "Ground orchid" whose ID you were interested in another post. Are the leaves same?
