Just harvested some calyx for the preparation of "Roselle Tea"... loved the deep color!

Izhar, they are beautiful! Can one buy a plant in Karachi? Karkade as it's called in Egypt is almost a national drink. You can have it either hot or cold, it's delicious.

Johara, I received the seeds in a trade from USA, as it is not very ornamental so it may be a difficult plant to get here... I'll send you the seeds if you want, they are very easy plants..

Johara, certainly as I still have a few left and also will be harvesting my own in near future..
The tea from it was so delicious and refreshing that before I thought to capture it digitally ...my family members sipped the last drop... such a lovely cranberry color!

Hello dear mr izhar.i m usman mahmood n i m new here. Being so much in trouble i had to come here. I hv searched alot but i really could not find roselle seeds any where. I m a patient of intestinal disorder n have been using roselle tea imported from saudia that is too costly for me. M just a student n dnt afford it becoz i do hv to take it daily as said by the docter . I m really in trouble i swear . Plzzzz i request you if u could send me some roselle seeds as u grow them u might have some of them. I ll grow them in my yard n wont have to worry for the tea. Plzzzzz be kind enough to reply. I would never forget this favor sir.... Plz do replyyy m from bahawalnagar punjab pakistan. Just worried because this is the season n if it is gone it will come after one year ;(

The seeds i saved for the forum members retained some moisture and the whole bag was covered with fungus... will try to get them in future..
