Urgent Help Required

Post by muhammadimran7 »

As I have read somewhere in the forum’s post that mortein spray can be used to get rid of spider mites. I follow the procedure and the results are horrible which can be seen below. Infected plants are balsam, dutura and morning glory. Please guide what to do now.

Sorry to see that but you should read the follow up posts. Everyone, as far as I remember, had disproved the idea of using Mortien spray or any oil based spray on plants. It is like spraying oil onto plants. They are all suffocated since the leaves could not breathe anymore :-(

Farooq sb. same dying situation has occur to me. I have not used copex or any spray. The problem is that I sow the seeds and when seedling has developed 1 to 2 leaf sets than it dies like the one in the 3rd picture. Few months back I used fresh manure incidentally for sowing and the results were horrible and seedlings died like that. Now when I used Ojri ki khad which quite OK and pure bhal same situation occurred.

Mustansir, fresh khaad or excess of khaad can easily burn young plants. Properly composted manure is almost odourless. Since you do gardening in pots, do not mix more than two handfuls of composted manure for seedlings in small pots. If you have fresh manure, you can also prepare pots in 2-3 weeks advance, water them occasionally, without sowing the seeds so that excess brown liquid is washed away. Hopefully, your seedlings would not burn then.

It was devastating. All summer seedlings are wiped up. Adjacent plants are also affected. Really nightmare
