Lack of participation

I find many members inactive in this forum but active on facebook.
There must a reason for that?
Last post of Dr. A Y Khan in this forum was in September 2013 while he is quite active on facebook.

Due to ease of posting pictures... even the founder of this forum Khabbab bhai is active there....

Not abandoned but not as active as Facebook...

Well the ease of posting pictures may apply only to those who do not use smart phone for accessing the forum because the app tapatalk gives lot of flexibility on android and iOS for posting pictures directly from cell phone. And you might have noticed that with passage of time many users are using tapatalk on cell phone to access the forum.

I do lot of stuff related to forum which is not visible at all. Like resolving security issues related to forum, upgrading forum softwares, resolving new users registration issues etc etc. Keeping the forum up and running is my primary responsibility. Posting on forum is my second.

I give less time to facebook but that gets noticed to everybody due to nature of facebook. Facebook is a phenomenon which is unavoidable. I would more than welcome any suggestions to increase the participation by users on forum.

BTW, even when nobody posts no forum, two members have always brightened the forum with their presence, these include Arif sb and Izhar and i really appreciate that

Yes if you search anything related to gardening on google then our forum will be on top but nothing much will appear from the facebook groups.

More discussion in the past was also due to the fact that there was lot of concepts challenged by other members. So a discussion went on because of different point of views. Now that challenge factor is missing. If someone asks a question, answer is posted and thats all. Nothing like "I would tend to disagree to your point" sort of thing.
