help required in growing chillies..

I am a new user on this amazing informative site. I am from Karachi and i want to grow chillies in pots on my roof.
Kindly guide me in this matter. Furthermore, alse let me have the details on required temperature, soil, manure etc.

I am also growing chillies on my rooftop in lahore....first time. Moderators and senior members need help.

I'm also growing chillies for the first time and have them in the soil bed. I don't think they shouold be too difficult. Sun, water when dry, remove aphids incase of an attack. The flowers should pollinate by the bees otherwise hand pollinate. I use liquid tomato fertilizer for almost all vegetables at half strength I grow and this should work well with chillies too. Hope this helps.
