The intoxicating fragrance of Gardenia bewitched me so much that I dreamt of a gardenia hedge full of flowers and the fragrance all around.
Now I have three types of Gardenias, all doing their best to frustrate me as much as they can. For all my effort I get rewarded by an occasional flower. WHY AM I KEEPING THEM? Any happy grower of Gardenias in Lahore?

Brig saheb I am focusing on their care after I killed 3 gardenias last year. So far it looks promising but I have to wait through the summer to be sure. Keep pH 5.5 to 6.5, dappled light, adequate moisture but not wet. If I was forced to choose just one variety of shrubs for my garden I would have to say they would be gardenias.

i love Gardenias specially the Florida variegated.the variegated produce less flowers than the green but looks very attractive.i have some six feet tall plants.they are very hardy shrubs, needs min care.just plant in filtred sun in rich compost & they will fill all your garden with fragrance.what i like about them you don,t need to goo near to the flowers for fragrance.the gardenia fragrance speaks it self.i will say Gardenia ki khushboo kisi ki muhtaj nahi.khud ap ko apne hone ka ehsas delati hai.same is for Marwa.
