Assalam-o-Alaikum from Islamabad

Post by cyberkings »

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone!

I am Shahid and I live in Islamabad. Originally from Lahore but living here for last 5 years. An IT Expert by profession and running my own IT and software development business. I had just got interest in growing vegetables in my garden a few months back and tried out growing some seeds and planing some baby plants sent by my cousin from Sialkot. I didn't know an ABC of kitchen gardening or growing vegetable at that time (and have just learned a few letters though :-) ) but now it's my all time hobby and I spend almost all of my spare time in my vegetables garden. Trying to observe and learn from the behaviors of plants. Still learning how and when to water them.

I have been looking for some resource or person who could guide me and give advice on my specific problems but so far there was no much authentic guidance. Finally I have reached this forum and I am very much excited to find a lot of valuable tips and experienced people who are guiding others with great sincerity. I am now very much confident that I will be learn a lot from here and grow more vegetables in a much better way.

Attached some pictures from my vegetables garden.

Khabbab and Kashan, it's nice to know that you're also from IT field. It seems contradictory but it's important for IT people to have such 'green' and 'nature driven' hobbies.

Look at my fresh harvest :)
